Wow! Gorillas in Bristol!
Last week, I spent a few days in Bristol. Having quite a bit of free time while Jon had to work, I decided to do a lot of walking around the city centre to find more gorillas - you may recall I mentioned seeing some gorillas there two weeks ago. Altogether, I have seen 26 gorillas in Bristol, and I thought you'd like to see them, too:
That's around 44% of the gorilla statues available to see right now (there were originally 60, but one got set on fire and has been removed). Quite a few aren't within easy walking distance of the city centre, though, so I've seen a pretty good percentage, methinks!
These "Wow! Gorillas" statues are part of Bristol Zoo Gardens' 175th anniversary celebrations. They are on display all over Bristol (and the odd escapee may also be found in Chipping Sodbury, Slimbridge & Birmingham, too) until 7th September and are free to see, so if you happen to be nearby over the summer, go gorilla-spotting! I've had lots of fun doing so!
And who knows? Maybe I'll go back to find some more later this month...:)
