Walks
Jon and I have been on a couple of walks over the Bank Holiday weekend. It's been good exercise of our legs and our cameras. :)
First, we went to one of our favourite spots: Marwood Hill Gardens. We saw ducklings and a fox (at opposite ends of the gardens), enjoyed the sights and scents of the flowers, and I had a yummy choccy cake while Jon drank tea in the tearooms there. It had rained earlier in the day (and there were a few drops towards the end of our walk), but it wasn't particularly muddy or slippery anywhere, although I wore my wellies, just in case!
Our second walk was in the village of East Down. There's a great pub here called The Pyne Arms. We both had some juice there before starting our walk, as it was such a hot day, and then returned afterwards for dinner. The views around here are wonderful, and we saw cows and sheep and an old church, too.
And that was the end of August! Today, I have baked more Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes, but other than that and one or two dates of import, September is likely to be quite quiet. Which means that I'll probably talk a lot to myself on here to make up for it. ;P
Bye4now!
