Recent Museum Visits with Friends
Oops - I've been rather quiet again, haven't I? Sorry, I had family visiting last week so I didn't have any time to be online, I'm afraid. And the last couple of days I've visited friends. I'll tell you a bit about that, shall I?
First I saw Graham in Guildford, where we visited the Guildford House Gallery and the Guildford Museum to see their Curiouser and Curiouser exhibitions celebrating the life of Lewis Carroll. This was smaller than I expected, but was quite pleasant to view. The photographs in the Guildford House Gallery were fascinating, but I think the Museum had the better displays, as it was lovely to see not only the memorabilia inspired by his stories, but also the toys and games his family owned and played with.
And yesterday I saw Simon and Hannah in London, where we visited the British Museum. We enjoyed the South Africa Landscape outside the museum and an EyeOpener tour of the Early Egypt rooms inside. If you're looking for something interesting to do in London, this is highly recommended by all of us!
That's all my news for now. It was lovely to see you three, and I'll let you know when I'm next in the area!
