Fremington Quay
I had a lovely walk along the Tarka Trail where it passes Fremington Quay. My mum was amused to read a notice stating that boats are not permitted to dock at the quay because it was no longer for that use. I pointed out that it's an historic quay, which they want to keep in good condition and so it's no longer a working quay, but she still didn't quite understand.
It's a lovely place for a walk, nonetheless! There were plenty of benches to admire the beautiful views, a lovely path to walk along, and a cafe for if we had wanted refreshments. What better place to while away a sunny Sunday afternoon?
