AWOUAAD
This week has been a week of unhappy accidents and discoveries (AWOUAAD for short). If I were superstitious, I would worry I'd done something to cause it all, but I'm not, so I won't. :P
It all started when I broke the gel eye mask. Jon got a gel eye mask for Christmas last year, and one night earlier this year, when really struggling to sleep, I decided to try it on. And it worked! So, whenever I can't sleep, I have been borrowing his eye mask (well, it was pink!). However, on Monday morning, I woke up to find the back of my nightie soaked. This confused me until I investigated the bed and found the eye mask... empty. I must have somehow burst it while I was asleep, and the stuff inside leaked all over the bed (the pink stain came out in the wash, thankfully!). And now I can't find any in the shops anywhere (well, one place had a teeny, tiny gel eye mask, but I want one that not only covers my eyes but cools my forehead, too).
The next unhappy occurence was also on Monday when I discovered the sole of my left shoe was cracked and letting in rain water. As I mentioned yesterday, I now have new shoes, which is a relief, but still, this problem has caused me some stress during the last few days. You see, I needed to replace them asap else I didn't really have anything else suitable for work! And it took a while to find a pair I like, too.
Then, on Wednesday morning, I had the most uncomfortable ache in my nose, as if I had banged it, except I could not recall doing so. This seems to have been a premonition, because I did actually bang my poor nose on Thursday morning! Ouch! It's feeling much better now but is still a little swollen (you can only tell if you feel both sides, though).
And since sometime on Thursday afternoon, I have been getting random, occasional, sharp pain in my elbow. I have no idea why, but I'll be sure to be more careful this time! Here's hoping it goes away without any more painful events occurring any time soon!
Still, there's been good stuff, too. :) Last night was fun, for instance. But enough jibber-jabber, I'd better get on with my novel!
Bye4now!
