Bagrock to the Masses & CompassionArt
Goodies arrived in the post yesterday - hurrah!!! :D Now I have lots of books to read, and some new music, too! I have two new CDs - Bagrock to the Masses and CompassionArt. Both are excellent, so buy them! The books are going to take a while to read before I can tell you whether they're good or not. Let me describe the CDs in a bit more detail:
Bagrock to the Masses is by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a bagpipe rock band. I only heard of them earlier this week when talking to a new friend. They won BBC One talent show "When Will I Be Famous" but, being TV-less, that completely passed us by. My friend showed me their performance on Youtube, and I knew I had to get one of their albums! And it has certainly not disappointed - I particularly like tracks 2, 6 and 15.
CompassionArt is a charity album by 12 Christian songwriters. It really is a mind-blowing, heart-warming, inspirational story behind the album, which you should read for yourself on the Website above. I just want to add that all the songs are fantastic and moving! I bought the album because I was impressed by the charity aims of the album, but this is full of great songs that I'm going to enjoy listening to again and again. :)
So, two great buys! And most of the books look like they're not going to disappoint, either. So, yay!!!
