FairyJo's Improvements!
Welcome to my improved site! As you can see, I've made some changes round here! I thought I'd let you know exactly what's new, and then let you investigate for yourselves. So, here's the gen:
Both the Writing and Photo sections have been left mostly as they were; they're both still only available to close friends, the writing and photos available have been updated, as have the logos (slightly). Take a look if you've got access.
The Art section is gone. I haven't been updating it often enough, so I decided to simply get rid of it. Instead, there's a new Greetings section. This is for my homemade e-cards, which I can then email to friends for special occasions, and anyone can access this section. Lately, I've been finding it harder to find decent e-cards elsewhere that I've not used countless times, so I've decided to make my own and use these, instead.
The News section will stay exactly the same as it always has been. I've no plans to add any more features, such as allowing comments, as I like my blog as it is. I do, however, find it hard to keep track of related blog posts, so I've created a new Interests section to link together blog posts on certain topics, such as my novel-writing experiences, or places to go in Devon.
The Interests section replaces the Forum. It was fun for a while, but it's not used much these days and Jon just hasn't had the time to add all the features I wanted, so I've decided not to have one anymore. I keep in touch with friends easily by email these days, so there's no real need for a Forum now.
The Links section has been quite extensively updated. I've changed a lot of the links, checked they work, and rearranged how it's all ordered. I feel a lot happier with this section now, and hope you'll find it useful.
The Contacts page is the only section of the site I'm still not happy with, although the logo is improved. My Contacts page has not been properly working for a while now, but until Jon finds the time to sort out some things, it's going to have to stay broken. :( I had hoped to have it all fixed and spangly to coincide with all the rest of the changes, but that seems to have been wishful thinking. Maybe it'll be sorted this summer, maybe by the end of the year, we'll see...
