Busy in Lent
So, what's new in faerieland? This Lent I'm thinking about what I want out of life, and how to achieve it in accomplishable steps. This is keeping me quite busy! Let me tell you some of the things I'm up to...
I'm thinking of joining a step class at the local leisure centre. Yesterday I looked up times online, and today I went in to check that the times are right and find out prices. Tomorrow I might actually be exercising with a group, which I've not done since school! Then again, if I choose a different class to join or chicken out, it'll happen at a later date. :P
I'm reading two books at the same time. They're on very different subjects. One is for writing research and the other is for spiritual growth. I know that for the last two years I've done a huge amount of reading, so two books isn't a big deal, but this year I'm focussing my reading to books that fit in with my aims in life. This means I'll read less, but I'll get more out of each book (I hope).
I'm trying to think of new recipes to bake or cook. On Tuesday I made pancakes and today or tomorrow I plan to make my own cereal. These aren't new recipes, but hey, it's a start.
I've been tidying the lounge. The whole house is rather messy, and I've decided it's about time I did something about it. I'm starting with the lounge, but it's slow-going because I'm rubbish at tidying. I am determined to get it all done, though, so I'll persevere!
I have decided to dust off my keyboard and learn some new pieces. I've got music books I've barely looked at, so it's about time they got some use!
I'm over halfway with crocheting my new bag. Once this is made (and after I've blogged about it), I intend to continue crocheting a top I started but never finished. It's been far too long laying there in incompleteness!
I am also planning something fun for later in the year, but that's all hush-hush for now, so pretend I didn't mention it! ;)
Other than the above, I haven't had any chocolate since Tuesday evening and I'm home alone tonight. That's all my news. So, stop reading now.
Tra-la-la!
