Ten Packages In One Day!
This afternoon I intended to write a rant about Royal Mail and their inability to deliver any of my online purchases in a timely fashion. But then the doorbell rang.
Outside was a post van. The poor postie had TEN packages for us! Jon says I should have taken a photo, but I was too excited about getting my goodies at the time.
Three of the packages were for Jon (and may have contained pressies for me), which means that today I received seven packages in the post! I thought you might like to hear about them...
One was from the ever-reliable IWOOT. It contained two things: a birthday present and a cake tin mould which says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" which I bought for myself. I can't say yet what the present is or who it's for, but testing it was quite difficult! I hope the person it's intended for never wants to change the batteries! I ordered these on Wednesday, so that's pretty speedy delivery considering the havoc the snow's caused in the last few days!
The other six packages were all from the same place; HMV had sent each item in my order separately for some reason. One package was a Valentine pressie for Jonty, so shhh! Another was another birthday present, so I can't say very much about that. A third was a box set of Bill BaileyDVDs for Jon, as a thank you for sorting out my flat tyre this week. We've already watched one of them, and it's hilarious! The others were all for me. :) I figured I'm allowed to buy myself some little treats while I'm spending money on other people, right?
One was a DVD of a certain cartoon that I'll blog about once I've watched, so I'm not going to tell you what it is yet. :P The final two packages were both films: Penelope and Pretty Woman, which are both fabulous!
We're going to watch one now, so chat later, peeps!
