Chocolate Fairy Cakes
Today I baked!!!!
I slightly adapted one of my own cake recipes and made chocolate fairy cakes. And they taste yummy! I'm going to take them all (but the one I ate, of course) to the local homeless drop-in I volunteer at on weekends. Unless I fall ill before then, in which case they'll all end up in the bin. :P
Seriously, though, I'm quite pleased with today's experiment. I made 28 fairy cakes, and even though I did forget briefly that one batch were still in the oven, they've all turned out well, and now they're each covered in choccy icing with two chocolate chips on top, like eyes. I think they look and taste really lovely. But next time I'll add some cocoa to the mix, for an even chocolatier taste!
All in all, it was a lovely, if slightly messy, evening!
