You're Just A Face In The Crowd

Feeder were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A photo of the band Feeder performing at their gig at Exeter Uni on Friday 14th November, 2008'.

Every single song sounded amazing, and they looked like they were having enormous fun onstage. The crowd were very appreciative, especially when they played Buck Rogers ("Get a house in Devon!"), and during the encore when they played Just A Day. :D:D:D

Other highlights for me included Yesterday Went Too Soon, Comfort in Sound, We Can't Rewind, Insomnia, Just The Way I'm Feeling and Seven Days In The Sun. It was also the first time in years that I've heard any of the songs from their first album Polythene. Why do I not have my own copy yet? I'm hoping my family get the hint and buy it me for Christmas, along with the new album Silent Cry - the new songs were superb!

Jon also enjoyed his birthday present immensely. We were pretty much in the middle of the crowd and had a good view of the stage (except for when people were jumping up and down, obviously!). He even took photos of the mixing desk and lighting!

The venue itself was really good. It was at the Great Hall at Exeter Uni. Bizarrely, it turned out that the last time Feeder had played at Exeter Uni was when my brother went to see them, about ten years ago! Although that was in another venue on campus. I don't know what that was like, but The Great Hall had excellent acoustics and a wonderful atmosphere.

It wasn't as hard to find Exeter Uni as I had feared (neither of us having been there in years and not having worked out the route beforehand), and there were plenty of car parks on campus. We even managed to grab a bite to eat at the Pizzeria in Cornwall House, which was yummy, although difficult to find.

All in all, a fab venue and a great night, all thanks to an amazing band - THANK YOU FEEDER!!!!!!
