Day Out On Dartmoor
Dartmoor appears to be our favourite birthday treat destination! Last Saturday, Jon and I went there as an early present for him. We had wild boar burgers for lunch in our favourite Dartmoor pub, and then we went on an adventure in search of the Giant's Chair of Natsworthy. Jon had worked out a route on his computer but he failed to print the map, so we had to find it using Jon's memory of his route and my logic. We got lost once or twice, but that just made the adventure more exciting!
We admired the stunning views from there and took loads of photos. It is due to be removed in March next year, but there's a campaign to save it. I really hope it works - it's a fabulous landmark!
Afterwards, we went to Exeter to do some shopping, and bought lots of Lush stuff. And then we had a light dinner at Chaucers, which was great! We've often walked past and thought about going in, but this time we actually did, and really enjoyed the place.
Then, after a fab day out, we went home. :)
