Resolutions, Update 4
This month has not been a good month for my Mid-Year Resolutions. This is partly because of recent loss, and partly because I've been busy birthday- and Christmas-shopping. Here's the update:
- Get out and do more in our local area:
I really can't think of anything I've done in the local area this month. But I have explored London and Langport, instead. Next month, there are several gigs and excursions planned, so I'll have more news about Devon happenings then.
- Edit MM1 and write the first draft of MM3 (the second in the series):
I've done nothing, I'm afraid. Murder has not been a topic that I wished to pursue with my writing this month. But I do intend to get back to this in November.
- Finish the two crochet items I started last year:
Again, I've failed miserably here, and I think I'll have to accept that I won't have finished either item by the end of the year. Instead, I hope to make myself some fingerless gloves in November, and a gift for someone in December. Then next year I hope to finally sort out all my unfinished projects.
- Experiment in the kitchen:
I've been planning what to cook and bake for Jon's birthday. Unfortunately, he's asked for the usual toadlets and spicy apple cake, but I've come up with an idea for something new to bake around the same time for some friends. So, watch this space!
- Come up with an outline for a series of children's stories:
Ok, the plan is to gather together all my current stories and find one suitable for sending to prospective agents. Then I can explain my outline for my intended series, too. I'm thinking of beginning the hunt in January, which gives me two months to sort out my stories, research agents and prepare a cover letter.
Let's hope I do better with these resolutions in November!
