Eye love London!
Yesterday, Jon and I went to London for an optician's appointment. We found that we were early, so we took a detour to the market in Covent Garden and had a brief look around. After the optician's we then went back for a more leisurely exploration.
I love Covent Garden. It's a wonderful place. And yesterday we heard a really good quartet of musicians, who were quite dramatic as they played! And we had some free mulled wine tea. :)
And then we went to the RNIB London headquarters, to meet some of Jon's friends and go for lunch together. We found a lovely nearby pub which did great food, although it took a very long time for our food to arrive.
I love how varied London is. There's something for everyone. If I fancy an arty day, I go for a walk along the Thames to the Tate Modern. If I want good food and an interesting museum, I head to the West India Quay. If I want to learn about my favourite author, I head to the Dickens Museum on Doughty Street. And if I'm looking to buy something a little bit different, I can head to Covent Garden!
Plus, I'll soon have my glasses fixed, with my new prescription, and I got to meet some lovely people from the RNIB. All in all, a wonderful day!
