Boxing Up
Yesterday, I was tidying out my old room at my parents' house. They're redecorating and they found some form of carpet mite, so all the furniture's gotta go. Dad wants to throw everything out, saying if I've not wanted/needed any of it in the years since I moved out, why would I ever need it again? Which is a good point, but not how I work.
I'm a hoarder. I'm not obsessive, but there's a lot of treasured momentoes of childhood that I'd like to keep. I mean, I totally accept that the drawer full of at least a decade's worth of greetings cards can be emptied into the recycling bin, but I'd quite like to keep all the photos and my old English exercise books. However, boxing it all up will take quite a while.
I'm no way near finished, and Dad's trying to give me a deadline of a few days' time. Ha! Nice try! I might get halfway through by the end of the weekend, if he's lucky.
In other news, Jon's pressie pile is growing. Yay!
