The Novel That Kept Growing
The novel is currently 56,638 words long, and I keep thinking of important chapters I haven't written yet! At this rate, it might exceed 70k before it's finished, but I'm hoping that it'll be nearer 65k, which I think is still manageable in the time I've got left.
Hmm... actually 65k is probably far too short of the mark, now I think about it. That'll be done in another three chapters, and I think there's possibly another six chapters left to write. What's worse is, I thought that a chapter or two ago. Every time I write a few chapters, more chapters that need to be added to the list appear in my head. Will this story never end?
Anyhoo, I'll easily exceed my original 60k aim tomorrow, and then perhaps I'll have a better idea of exactly how many words the rest of the story will require. If it is going to exceed 70k, the I'd better write another 6k tomorrow and another 6k on Sunday, else I've no idea who I'll fit all that writing into my schedule!
