Novel-Writing Update
There's a lot I'd like to talk about, but not much time, so I'll tell you how the novel's going. Despite having long periods of being too busy to write, plus a few slow days, my current word count is an impressive 42,859!!!!
I reckon I can finish it in another seven or eight chapters, which is quite exciting, too! :) There's a bit of steady plodding at the mo' but then there's a few surprises, followed by the tour de force of the piece. Or something like that.
Four people were dead by the end of Chapter 6, which is quite good going, methinx. I'm hoping that by that stage, people are emotionally involved in the characters as well as intellectually engaged in the whodunnit aspect. We'll see when I'm finished, I guess.
Still, despite some slow-going, I'm quite pleased with the progress and have high hopes for this story. It's really fun to write a story where some of the characters are from a previous novel. This series could end up even longer than I've previously planned!
Is anyone else busy writing at the mo'? How's it going? Or are you collecting inspiration and/or plotting for NaNoWriMo already? Good luck to anyone who takes part in that this year - it's a lot of fun, but highly rewarding!!!
