61 Books!
I have read 61 books over the course of this past year, and I finished the 61st today! :) Woo!
I know that there are still several days left of this month, and hence this year. This, coupled with the facts that I am part-way through another book and will probably have some time over the Christmas period to do some more reading, means that it is likely that I may up that total. HOWEVER, being that between tomorrow and the end of the year I'm unlikely to find much time to blog, I figured I'd announce this little achievement now.
I'll put up my list of December Books in the New Year (backdated to 31st December, of course), so you'll have to wait to find out what I've read this month. :P For the mean time, I thought I'd take a look at the past year and note any observations...
My best reading month was August - I read ten books! In fact, summer/early autumn was a very good time for reading, as was winter, it seems. I didn't read that much in Spring (well, May & June, in particular), but there was a very good reason for that, as most of you will know! I slowed down somewhat towards the end of this year, too. Still, reading 61 books (along with writing two novels and a collection of short stories, plus baking and crocheting lots) is quite an achievement, methinx.
What have you accomplished this year? I think it is very worthwhile to keep a regular diary or blog, because it provides a useful record to remind you of these things. :) Oh, and, of course, a blog allows you to tell other people, too!
Take care, y'all!
