Catching Up With NaNo!
As I may have mentioned before, last month I thought I'd have another try at NaNoWriMo this year. However, I didn't feel like writing another novel this year (having already finished two!), so I thought I'd write the fifty thousand words in ten (or maybe more) short stories, of about five thousand each.
The beginning of the month didn't go too well. What with family parties and Jon's birthday, I didn't have any time for writing until last Friday. I really doubted I'd find the time to catch up, but I decided to give it the best shot I had at the weekend.
Friday started well, and I managed about 5,000 words, but then I didn't write at all on Saturday. Happily, on Sunday, Monday and today I've managed to really work at it in the evenings, and now I've finally caught up! My total word count so far is 21,711 words, which is 44 words more than where I should be, to finish the 50k by the end of the month!
So, yay! Here's hoping I'll be able to keep this up, and win NaNo 2007!
