My novel continues to make excellent progress! :D Today I wrote over 4,000 extra words. This brings my current word count to 35,296, which is 5,916 words more than the first draft. Considering I'm aiming to write at least 30,000 words more for this novel, that's nearly 20% (ok, it's 19.72% to be precise).
At this rate, I should easily finish by my deadline, although I don't want to become overconfident on that score just yet. It is going to be a lot of hard work!
Whilst re-reading the original draft, I found myself really enjoying it. Some of the characters are priceless, and I love my sense of humour. :) Whether other people feel the same, only time will tell. :P But I'm confident I can turn this into a well-written, humorous novel.

PS Before I vanish, just wanted to add that somehow I missed out one of the books I read in July, so I've edited my July Books post to amend this error. Whoops!
