Summer = Creativity
It sure feels good to stay in bed all morning! :D In my defence, I was woken up before 9am by some especially noisy military craft - at least, I presume that's what the noise was, as I didn't bother getting up to find out what kept flying overhead - for all I know, it was a UFO. ;)
Now it really feels like summer (as in, the sun makes the odd short appearance each day in between bursts of rain), and I have more free time than usual, I am doing well with my creativity. I'm working on two crochet projects (one for me, one for a birthday pressie). I've read lots of books this month (will blog about that tomorrow). I've baked brownies. I've practised music on more than one instrument. I've been for interesting walks and taken some nice photos.
And today I plan to do some writing! I hope to finish the first draft of a novel that has lain in dust for a little too long. It won't be of novel-length when finished, but then I hope to work on draft 2 and bump up the word count. Yay! And I also plan to give myself a tight deadline for this one, as I want to work on at least one other writing project this summer. However, I'm not telling anyone when the deadline is, just in case I don't manage it. :P
Oh, and I'm only joking about the sun - today looks to be hot and dry, and yesterday was pretty much the same, too. Feels like a good time to go to the beach...:)
