Damp, Depressing Mondays
Looking through the window at the pouring rain, I almost wonder if I imagined the sunshine of yesterday. It was actually a really nice day yesterday! Jon and I went for a lovely walk, too. It's nice when he has time to go exploring: Devon is such a beautiful county.
Today, it has rained pretty much all day, and this morning it was so cold I reached into the back of the wardrobe for a warm jumper to wear. I can hardly believe this is really July! I know England is known for its rain, but I've never known it this bad before!
Mondays used to be our "Eat Out" night, but Jon asked if we could change it to Thursdays, which we have. Now I'm sat here, recalling why I initially chose Mondays for that occasion. Monday evenings feel so bland! I don't know why staying in on a Monday feels worse than staying in on any other night, but it just does.
I think I'll head out for a quick one at the pub to cheer me up, instead. ;) Actually, if I were to attempt that, I'd probably change my mind the moment I open the front door and get hit in the face by the rain.
Bah!
