An Eventful Weekend

We had a wonderful, if somewhat hectic, weekend. I would have posted about it sooner, but I was so exhausted that I fell asleep around 5 or 6pm on Sunday and slept until morning! And since then I've been very busy, and it looks like I will be for the rest of the week, because on Friday we're going to a very special event...:D

Anyway, here's what I've been up to:

Oxford was nice and the architecture of Christ Church was admired on our way to get some very delicious ice cream. The only awkward thing was finding somewhere to park, but that wasn't too big a problem in the end, I guess. Oh, and I also managed to pick up some things from Lush which was useful!

I was a very good girl - I even managed to read a book while there! :D I'm catching up on my reading targets, yay! To find out what I read, you'll have to wait until the end of the month, though, so pner.

On Sunday morning, we drove back home to take Jon's dad out for lunch. On the way, we passed a beautiful sight, and I don't mean StoneHenge, as lovely as that is! I've seen fields of shining gold that were brighter than sunshine before now, but never before this weekend have I ever seen a field of radiant red - wow! I presume it was poppies as we passed some other fields of poppies shortly afterwards, but none of the others were quite so red or radiant as the first one.

Lunch on both days was lovely and I think our Dads enjoyed themselves, too. :) And afterwards, we tried some English wine. All in all, it was a busy, but very fun weekend!

Hope you all had fun, too!
