Looking Back on 2006...
So, apart from maybe on Christmas Day, if you're lucky, this is going to be my last post of 2006. It's certainly been an interesting ride...
Thinking back to one year ago, I:
- had just got a job that would start in January;
- could not crochet;
- had only recently moved to an area where I knew very few people;
- had written two novels in a year;
- was full of hope.
During this year I:
- lost my job when the contract ran out and have been looking for a new one ever since;
- learnt to crochet;
- have written another two novels in a year;
- found a church where I felt welcome and made some friends;
- have been to three funerals;
- have been to one wedding;
- have had many friends and family visit (and also visited various friends and family).
And now, at the close of 2006, I am glad that it is coming to an end and look with hope, and a little trepidation, to what 2007 brings. I hope it brings lots more fun with friends, family, crochet, etc, plus two more novels. I also hope it will bring me another job. I already have one interview lined up for the New Year, so wish me luck with that!
I'm happy. I have Jon, and I have incredibly wonderful friends and family. Thank you all. *hugs*
Oh, and one last thing:
Merry Christmas
&
A Happy New Year
To You All!
