A Whole Year
We've been living here for over a year now. This seems weird to contemplate. What have I done in that year?
Well...
I have written three novels, which is pretty good going, I guess. I've not thought about it like that, but, since living in this house, from 1st November 2005- 1st November 2006 I finished 1st drafts of three novels. That's a pretty good achievement, when you think about it. :)
I got a job, which I then lost, as my contract was temporary. There are things I miss about the job, but things I am very glad to no longer have to put up with, too! Since then, I have struggled with job apps and interviews, but not found the right one, yet.
I have made some friends in the area. People I see on a regular basis whom I can talk to. I still do not know many people around my own age, though. But the friends I have made so far are lovely.
I have learnt some basic BSL and am also learning another subject that ought to be useful for one of my unfinished novels. If I told you what the subject was, you might get scared, so I won't divulge that information. It's very interesting, though...;)
I've learnt to crochet! That's pretty amazing for me!
And... I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Maybe that's because I'm not feeling well today and it hurts to think. Anyway...
This house feels like a home now. Jon and I are very happy together. I've done a lot in just one year, but there are still things I should be doing to achieve my long-term goals...
...so what will my goals for the next year be? I'll have to think about that carefully, but they'll probably involved novel-writing, crafts, jobs, volunteering & meeting new people. :)
