Birthday News
Whoops! Sorry for the delay in news! I suppose you're all dying to know how Jon's birthday went!
First of all, I'm sure he'll tell you himself, if he hasn't already, but he was very grateful for all the cards, emails, texts, phone calls and presents he received. :) Thank you, peeps, for helping to make his day special!
What would I say the highlights were? Well, in my opinion (and you'll have to ask Jon for his) they were as follows:
Waking up in the morning and giving Jon his presents in bed. Lunch with his Dad. Wine-tasting. Lighting the cake. Watching fireworks from the house. Relaxing in the evening as we watched one of his new DVDs while eating mini toads in the holes and drinking a very nice wine. Playing with rather dangerous "indoor" sparklers in the dark.
So, what did he get? Well, lots of DVDs and CDs and clothes. He also got a very funky tea set and one of these cute little creatures. And Jaffa cakes, wine and chocs! :)
All photos taken are on Jon's camera, so I'll let him share them, if he so chooses. We hope you all had a fun weekend, too!

One last, brief mention: I went to church in the morning without Jon. It was the vicar's last day and the church was packed with people wishing to say goodbye. I will really miss him as he is the person who has made me feel most welcome. He is a lovely man and his words on Sunday will stay with me...:)
