Success at Crochet!

Well, of a kind, at least. Look!

The first row of a blanket I am crocheting. The wool is purple and blue. I have no idea if it's supposed to look like this, so I cannot say if it is any good or not.

A close up of part of the row I have made so far, showing the stitching - or whatever it's called in crochet - and part of the crochet hook.

Don't congratulate me yet; I'm not entirely sure I've done it right. ;)
