Famous Athlete At Supermarket Shocker!
We've just been to Sainsbury's. And we saw Jonathan Edwards. Or, rather, Jon did. I may have, but I didn't get a good enough look to say for sure. I don't think the man would appreciate me walking right up to him, tapping him on the shoulder and squinting closely at him, whether he was a World Record Holder or not.
Jon says it was definitely him, and he should know, apparently. They went to the same school, but not at the same time, but Mr Edwards did come visit, or something. Plus, he says he saw a photo recently. I think Jon's been stalking him - after all, we don't usually go to Sainsbury's, and it was his idea.
Then again, these are the words he used to tell me who he'd seen: "Who's the triple jump record holder? Yeah, that's his name, he's over there." So, maybe I'm safe and my boyfriend has not become a celebrity stalker. Although he did at one point entertain the thought of following the guy with his camera...;)
So, my Dad shops at the same butcher as Ronnie Corbet (or did when I was fourteen, anyway) and Jonathan Edwards shops at our local Sainsbury's (allegedly). Tune in next week for more Celebrities Shopping!
Or maybe not...
In other news, we've just bought a new washing machine to replace our 15 year-old one. It arrives Sunday. Huzzah!
