At The Beach
Yesterday was fab. Colder than hoped for, but really good fun, nonetheless. However, one thing I would like to point out is the following:
The definition of the word "pebble" is: "A small stone, especially one worn smooth by erosion." (thanks, Dictionary.com!)
If you tell me the beach is mostly a pebble ridge with a sandy part when the tide is out, then I expect a ridge of small, smooth stones. The part that Jon didn't understand was "small" - the 'pebble' ridge at Northam was made of HUGE smooth stones. I'll let you see a photo when I have time to sort that out. I'm not sure I want to be present at the annual Potwalloping Festival held in nearby Westward Ho! (in the summer, I think), having seen these things - could be dangerous!
We had two barbecues, plus fun with giant smooth rocks, fire, alcohol, a helicopter frisbee, closed toilets and photography. A great Bank Holiday!
Today, I handed in the application for my job. So, that weirdness is out of the way now... until they start talking about interviews...
Final thought: Do peeps think I should apply for a job as a photographer's assistant, just in case this thing falls through? Thoughts on that appreciated.
