End of Part 1
I completed Part 1 of my novel today, at around 15,000 words. I have since started Part 2, which brings my word count to 16,371. Not bad.
Part 1 was mainly scene-setting, getting to know the characters, etc. Part 2 is going to delve into the story and throw some problems at them. Part 3 is going to shock people, although I have recently come up with an alternative ending, so not sure how things will go from there.
I am worried that I am getting too attached to the characters. This will not do if the plot is to progress. They might start making demands of me that won't fit with the storyline. Let's hope they behave!
Half of Part 1 is now online. I am updating it daily to try to catch up. I may have to break it up into chapters soon. Still no Broadband, although the signs are that it won't be long now. Fingers crossed!
