And the inconsiderate shall not go unpunished...
The benefits of moving keep growing. The biggest reason I'm currently glad we're moving is:
END OF THE NOISY NEIGHBOURS!!
We had already disconnected the doorbell a few weeks ago, due to having people ring it at 4am wanting to be let in upstairs. But our neighbours have other ways of disturbing the peace. Mainly, they like to play bad music excessively loud. Think of the most annoying, repetitive songs you have ever heard. Multiply the annoyingness and repetition by about 50. That's what they play, loud enough that I feel as if I'm at a gig that I really don't want to be at.
On Sunday night/Monday morning (the night after we arrived back in York), we were woken up again at 4am by excruciatingly loud music of this variety. So I went upstairs looking scary and rang their doorbell. I heard the following while waiting:
Woman: Turn it down.
Man: No, turn it OFF.
Woman: Why?
If she'd answered the door, I'd have told her exactly why, but, luckily for her, the music was turned off and the guy answered and apologised.
He later left us two bottles of wine with an apology note. I guess I can be quite intimidating. Jon has since been to thank him.
But they're at it again with the bad, bad, repetitive music. It's 10:30pm, and all I can hear are the same four notes over and over and over...
Thank goodness we're leaving! The only thing is, can I make it until we leave without finding a way to exact my revenge...?
