Bad News, Good News & Murder
My PDA is sick. It has lost pretty much all the files on it, which isn't too much of a problem 'cos I had been backing up onto this laptop every now and then. I have, however, lost 10K of the headless novel (at least), due to my slackness of late.
Contrary to what you may think, this is merely annoying at the moment, as I was getting fed up of the turn the story was taking. This now gives me the chance to move on to another project and return at a later date to fix things and get it back on track.
My main issue right now is that the PDA has not fully recovered. I can't work out what's wrong, but it is acting up majorly. Jon thinks it needs a hard reset, but then there will be no chance of retrieving the lost data. Not that there seems to be much of one anyway... if anyone can offer any advice, let me know!
I think I ought to bitch at HP. After all, it should not have gone so screwy so soon. I know this laptop crashes all the time, but (1) it's old, and (2) it doesn't lose all my files when it does. Bah. Poor sick PDA. *strokes its feverish head* :(
The good news? I have written a collection of 21 fairytales. This is cool, and the number is significant. Now I just need to find the time and a way to type them all up...
If anyone in York fancies trying to decipher my intelligible scrawl, by all means, be my guest. ;)
