The Bank Holiday Weekend
I set myself a few challenges this weekend. I wanted to:
* Complete 40% of WFMW
* Complete 20% of HTGAIB
* Take several photos of certain places around town
* Take several photos of waterfowl
* Find time to play.
The weekend started at 1pm on Friday. Jon and I went to Cafe Culture for lunch to celebrate me having some money. That place is absolutely fantastic!
Then we wandered round town taking a few photos of places in the area (part of one aim already achieved!). We bumped into a few friends, which was cool.
Saturday started with a walk around the walls with Svenja, Jon and Jon's friend Sam. I left the group to head to campus to take some photos of waterfowl (one photo aim thus completed). I'm quite pleased with my efforts!
I was hoping PlaySoc would be on, but no one turned up, and by that time I actually felt quite tired, lol! I decided to walk back home and get some sleep.
But it was not to be. I went via Rowntree Park for some more photos. Jon persuaded me to stay and play rounders with a huge group of people at the March Party. This was lots of fun, and meant I succeeded in finding time to play! Whoopee!!!
Sunday was spent doing some writing with an aching right arm (the aim for WFMW was completed) and taking a few more photos (other photo aim completed). Nels and Lizzie came round, and we later went for food at Harkers.
Yesterday was rather lazy, but writing was done. I did not achieve my full targets, but I exceeded the word target for one story (45%), and missed with the other (15%). It seems odd looking at the percentages. The stories are currently about the same size, but one will be a novel and the other a 20,000 word story. So, while it looks like I'm doing brilliantly with WFMW and rather poorly with HTGAIB, that is not really the case.
Anyway, go me! On the whole, I fulfilled all but one aim (which I actually did some good work towards), and I am pleased.
And my weekend is not yet over. I have about an hour left, so hooray!
Today's aims:
* Write 1,000 words of WFMW
* Write at least 500 words of HTGAIB
* Look into car insurance quotes
* Make a particular change to my homepage (more on that later)
* Earn some money
Four of these ought to be easy. The third one is proving a real pain. Now for lunch!
