10 Things I Like About Me
Ho hum!
My party was fun. Rosie, Steve, Louis, Chris, Elizabeth and Kendrick came round for cocktails and brownies and chattage. Surprisingly, the cocktails were quite good! Although Jon may disagree (apparently, he loathes vodka). I should write novels more often! ;)
As mentioned, there were brownies, but, sadly, no forum as yet. :( It's on its way, but I cannot say when it will appear.
In other news, imbetween giddy highs of finishing my novel and semi-lows of wondering what next, I have come up with a list of 10 things that I have achieved in my life so far that I am proud of. There are probably more, but these were the first to occur to me. I thought I would share them here, so all you people who read this can go "Oooooh...". Or not. Anyway, without further ado:
1) I have written a complete novel in 27 days.
2) I have learnt to play piano, clarinet, violin and treble recorder to a high standard and performed these instruments in front of many people (oh, yeah, and achieved a 94% pass in Music Theory Grade 5).
3) I have flown in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon (yeah, yeah, I may not have been the pilot, but it was an experience I am very proud of).
4) I have written stories that children have enjoyed reading, and I have submitted one such story to six publishers so far.
5) I have sung in front of a large crowd of my family at my grandparents' diamond wedding anniversary.
6) I have lived on my own.
7) I have helped to teach a little girl to ride a tricycle.
8) I have composed 2 minutes of what I refer to as my 'masterpiece'.
9) I have created my own website (with just a little help from a wonderful person).
10) I graduated with honours from the University of York at a subject that I found difficult.
